Joseph Gordon-Levitt has once again confirmed that he will not be in Django Unchained. Gordon-Levitt has dropped out of the project due to scheduling conflicts with his directorial debut Don Jon’s Addiction. Here’s what Gordon-Levitt told MTV:
Gordon-Levitt said that he had spoken with Tarantino, and the director gave his support. “I’ve been in touch with Quentin about it, and it was so cool to trust me to do this little part in his movie,” Gordon-Levitt said. “I would have loved, loved to have done it. He’s one of my very favorite filmmakers, and he was really supportive of me directing and that meant the world to me.”
Honestly, this is old news considering Gordon-Levitt revealed all the way back in January that he was never officially part of the Django Unchained cast and that he was pursuing a director’s role instead. Hopefully, this interview will finally put an end to the rumors and articles claiming that he’s in the movie.
